Argh...It’s A Pirate Life For Me!

Argh...It’s A Pirate Life For Me!

This month I styled a Pirate party for my son’s 7th birthday.  I wanted to have a vintage looking pirate party, so I’ve decided to use the traditional colors of black, red and white.  I also incorporated a mixture of blues and a splash of red on the table.  Hope you’ll find inspirations from my party.  If you would like the decorations.  You can find them on my ETSY store or email me: partybashcreations@gmail.com
Thank you and Enjoy!

It was challenge and fun!  All the decorations for this party I’ve made are DIYs to save the budget since I spent more on the toys because it’s a treasure hunt party.  I wanted our guests (kids and their parents) to participate and have fun in the party.  So instead to have a big wood treasure chest and fill with lots of treasures ready for kids, I decided to let kids hunting on their own.  I’ve prepared a treasure chest Piñata as the final destination, and had 12 clues (12 treasures) to lead them to the treasure chest.  Here’s the pictures with how my party went.  Attached you’ll also find some of free printable that I’ve designed, and hope you can find some use of them.

This is photo booth backdrop that I’ve made from old curtain and some fabrics.  This is main entry when our guests came to our backyard.  Attached with fish nest and garland to hang Insta Pictures that our guests can take them home.

Also, I hand made a wood sign from old pallets, stained and decorated with some Never Land characters.  And there’s ropes for Tug of War, Ring Toss game.  Along with the DIY boxes made from USPS priority boxes and decorated with words “WINE” and “WHISKEY”. I also made some photo props.  At the “welcome” table, I had bandanas, eye patches with earrings for kids to dress up like a pirate before we started the treasure hunt (sorry, this picture has taken after kids took their accessories, only 2 left there).  Each kid carried a kraft brown gift bags I’ve made to put their hunted treasures.  Inside the bags were pencils and maps for them to use along the scavenger hunt.

The dessert table backdrop was one of my DIY too.  I’ve designed it, and printed at home.  You can print at local print shop, but it’s expensive to print out the size that I’ve designed.  The backdrop is 46” wide & 38” tall.  The decorations on the dessert table, you could find them at home.  I’v used pallet and boxes to create stand for cupcakes.

Ok, here comes the Scavenger hunt for my boy’s pirate party.  Each kid got their turns to read what’s on the map and clue.
I handed out Clue #1.  It was for them to find a Marked X Spot to get their first treasure.  Along at Marked X Spot, I’ve left the second clue for kids to figure out the next location. You can find these clues HERE.  Not each clue came with easy treasure, they needed to work their brain little bit.  I’ve used some game like: maze, rebus, and exercise games.  You can find more if you google “scavenger hunt ideas”.  And this is the website Scavenger Hunt Fun I’ve used to write my own clues, tons of ideas.

Thank you for visiting my blog, and hope it gives you some inspirations!

Hot Chocolate Bar Frozen Birthday Party

2
There are so many cute and creative Frozen party ideas for this popular movie, and of course my daughter was asking for it too.  It was in the winter, which is perfect for a FROZEN party with a lot of snowflakes.  However, I don’t want everyone to have the feeling of cold in winter.  So I’ve decided to have hot chocolate to warm up everyone after they traveled in the snow and cold days.

This is a big picture of how my backdrop and table settings look like.  It is also featured on Catch My Party.  The backdrop is a flower petal looking with different shades of blue pom pom, and my blue glitter cutout word “Let it Go”.  The table skirt was made from white tulle.

Here’s how my Hot Chocolate Bar looks like, and I’ve added a sample in the tray, having few choices for the topping and made some glitter snowflakes stick to stir with.  I also made a basswood sign.

These were one of the gift - ombre blue glitter scarves.  Isn’t it perfect for the winter? I love it!

Again this is the sample looking of how the hot chocolate.

Some blue Jello with the food labels I made. (you can find it in my shop)

Here are some more gift - snow globe ball (like a lollipop shape).  It filled with some Kisses, mini crowns, shredded crepe paper, and winter theme stamps.  I’ve decorated with a silver glitter crown on the top, tied with my personalized gift tag (you can find it in my shop), and hand painted some snowflakes.  Every easy DIYs.  You can get those clear ornament on Amazon, and glue it with clear lollipop stick.  Ta-Da...easy right?

Wrapped some blue color Kisses for gift too.

This clear box is personalized with silver glitter and my dautghter's first name initial.  It filled up with blue chocolate balls.

Those were blue velvet cake in a jar with personalized spoon that I made and added raspberry on top.

For the gifts, I also have some snowflakes pencils.  In side bags were Olaf clay keychain and bracelets that my friend made.
Next to it was the lip balm with personalized sticker and some blue glitter fair dust in mini glass bottle.

Here’s the dinner table setting with my personalized block letter R in frozen theme.  You can also find it in my shop.

And last, I did a welcome door sign with Frozen characters.  Hope these ideas help you to plan your party!

Avenger Marvel Birthday Party

0
This awesome SUPERHERO AVENGER THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY was styled by Wren Lively.  Photograph by The Amber Image.  This power-punched party was in honor of brothers Phoenix and Decker.  It was amazing to collaborate with Amber on her sons’ big day!  Amber had asked for a modern and simple cake topper designs on The Avengers Comics.  I Party Bash Creations created superhero inspired topper with its logos and comic styled bubbles.  Very clean design features, huh?

What an awesome party with this unique modern superhero styling!  I especially love the fabulous table decoration!  From the fantastic dessert toppers to the cute comic building blocks Photo Booth background!  This party is so much fun and is full of ideas that would work perfectly for any little Superhero!
